Enviro Stock lists used trailers for sale sourced from UK clearance. The range covers box and enclosed trailers, flatbed and drop-side trailers, plant trailers, car transporters, tipping trailers, curtain-siders and catering trailers. This is surplus released by UK businesses and estates rather than dealer forecourt stock, so what is available changes as lots clear. You can browse remotely, ask us for the grading detail and paperwork on any lot, and have it delivered to you rather than arranging your own collection.
Stock Coming Soon
The trailers listed here are surplus and clearance assets, not a manufacturing or retail range. They come from UK businesses and estates disposing of stock they no longer need, which is why the mix shifts over time. One month a lot might carry plant trailers and a car transporter, the next it might be box trailers and a tipping unit. We clear lots as they become available, so treat the range as indicative rather than fixed.
That mix suits a wide spread of buyers. Plant and groundwork contractors use plant trailers to move compact machinery between sites. Car enthusiasts and traders look for transporters. Catering and event operators need mobile units they can fit out and tow. Builders and landscapers want a dependable flatbed or tipper. Whatever the end use, every lot is graded before listing and comes with a manifest, so you can assess it properly before you commit.
Where it helps, we can arrange delivery anywhere in the UK. You do not need to travel to collect, and you do not need to inspect in person to buy with confidence. Everything you need to make the decision is available remotely. Ask us and we will send you the grading detail, the manifest, and any documentation held for the lot.
Stock changes as lots clear, so availability varies from one week to the next. When trailers are in stock, this category can include the following types.
See how we grade stock for the framework we use to assess condition on each lot. Full lot manifests and grading information are available on request, and they are your route to due diligence before you buy.
If you need a powered vehicle rather than a towed one, that sits under our commercial vehicles category. Self-propelled diggers, dumpers and similar machinery sit under plant and construction. This page covers towed trailers only.
Buying a used trailer remotely is straightforward once you have the right information to hand. The key is knowing what to ask for before you commit, so a few points are worth understanding first. For any lot you are interested in, ask us for the plated weight, the grading detail, and the paperwork, and we will send it over.
Plated weight and towing capacity. Every trailer carries a plate showing its Maximum Authorised Mass, the maximum legal loaded weight, along with its unladen weight. You need these figures to confirm your towing vehicle is rated to pull the trailer. The GOV.UK guidance on towing weight limits sets out what a car driver can legally tow, and the combined weight of vehicle and loaded trailer must stay within the figure on your vehicle's VIN plate or handbook. Ask us to confirm the plated MAM and unladen weight for any lot so you can match it to your vehicle before purchasing.
Brakes and the 750kg threshold. Any trailer with a loaded weight over 750kg must, by law, have a working brake system. For a remote buyer, the practical equivalent of a brake check is asking us for any brake test or service records held for the lot. Where records exist we will supply them, and where they do not we will tell you.
Condition grading and known defects. Every lot is graded before it is listed, which covers the condition of the chassis, tyres, brakes, coupling and lighting as recorded in the manifest. Ask us for the grading detail and any condition notes, and we will provide them. For a buyer sourcing remotely, the grading assessment does the job a pre-purchase inspection would do in person.
Documentation and registration status. Ask us whether a lot includes a registration certificate. The DVLA operates a trailer registration scheme, and the document issued for a registered trailer is a Trailer Registration Certificate, not a V5C. Registration is only mandatory for trailers over 750kg that travel internationally, so a UK-only trailer may be perfectly legal without one. Where a registration certificate is held for a lot, we will note it. Where it is not, we will say so clearly.
Service history. Where a trailer has a documented service history, we can supply it. Clearance lots vary, and older units may have partial records or none. If that applies to a lot, it will be noted on the listing so you know what you are working with.
If you have a question about a specific lot, contact us and we will send you the detail you need.

The DVLA issues a Trailer Registration Certificate for qualifying trailers, not a V5C, which is the document for motor vehicles. Registration is only mandatory for trailers over 750kg travelling internationally. Where a certificate is held for a lot we will note it, and where a lot has no registration document we will state this clearly.
