Replacing or expanding a handling fleet is a cost you carry whether you buy new or used, and it does not have to mean paying full dealer price. Enviro Stock supplies used warehouse equipment across the UK, carrying pallet trucks, electric pallet trucks, stackers, sack trucks and order pickers, all sourced from UK businesses clearing operational assets.
Stock Coming Soon
If you run a warehouse, a fulfilment operation or a manufacturing site, handling equipment is a recurring line on the budget. Sourcing it from clearance stock is a practical way to reduce that spend without giving up the equipment's ability to do the job. Warehouse managers, logistics operators and production teams all rely on the same core handling kit, and buying used lets you put working equipment into service at a fraction of new-unit pricing.
The difference sits in where the stock comes from. Our handling equipment comes directly from UK businesses clearing operational assets, so each unit has a real working history in a genuine operation rather than sitting as speculative catalogue stock. These are not grey-market imports and they are not end-of-life scrap. Each lot is graded and listed clearly, so you can assess condition, operating hours and specification before you commit.
This category covers equipment that moves goods: pallet trucks, electric pallet trucks, stackers, sack trucks and order pickers. Counterbalance forklifts and reach trucks are listed separately on our Forklifts page, and pallet racking, shelving and storage equipment is covered on the Storage and Handling page. You can also browse the full range of industrial assets for wider plant and equipment.
Stock changes as lots clear, so availability shifts as units sell through. Browse the current listings to see what is in stock at the time of your search, or contact us to ask about a specific equipment type. The equipment types backing this category are:
When you are buying used warehouse handling equipment, check the operating hours logged on the unit, confirm the load capacity plate is present and legible, review any available service history, and establish whether the equipment holds a current LOLER thorough examination certificate if it is a lifting device such as a stacker or order picker.
For powered equipment, logged operating hours are the clearest indicator of remaining service life, much as mileage tells you about the condition of a vehicle. Low-hours units command higher prices because they carry more working life, so it is worth asking for the hour reading on any electric pallet truck, stacker or order picker.
Battery condition is the largest single hidden cost on a used electric unit. Ask about the battery age, any available state-of-health records, and whether the charger is included. A battery that can no longer hold charge through a standard shift is effectively at the end of its working life and will need replacing before the unit earns its keep.
Every lift truck must carry a rated capacity plate showing its safe working load. Confirm the plate is present, legible, and matches the specification in the lot listing. A unit with a missing or illegible plate has an unknown safe operating limit and should not be put to work until the plate is replaced. It is also worth asking what servicing the unit has had and whether records are available.
On the regulatory side, it helps to understand the split between two frameworks. All handling equipment used at work falls under PUWER, which requires it to be suitable, maintained and inspected by a competent person. LOLER (the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998) adds a further, statutory thorough examination for equipment that lifts. The practical line is the 300mm lift threshold. Pallet stackers and order pickers lift loads to height, so they fall inside LOLER and need a thorough examination by a competent person. Standard manual pallet trucks raise a load only fractionally off the floor to move it horizontally, so they sit outside LOLER, though they still need regular inspection under PUWER. If a stacker or order picker does not have a current thorough examination certificate, budget for one before putting it into service. You can also read how we grade stock for more on how we assess condition before listing.
A pallet truck, whether manual or electric, moves palletised loads at floor level. A stacker has a vertical mast that lifts loads to height for placement on racking or multi-level storage. Both are included in this category. If you are moving goods across a flat site at floor level, a pallet truck is usually enough. If you need to load or unload racking, you need a stacker or a forklift.
This depends on the specific unit. Where a current certificate is available it will be noted on the listing. Standard manual pallet trucks do not require a LOLER thorough examination, though they should still be inspected and maintained under PUWER. You can read how we grade stock for more on our process.
Ask the seller for the battery age, the chemistry, and any available state-of-health records, and confirm whether the charger is included.
Stock is clearance-sourced and changes as lots sell through, so the range shifts over time. Browse the current category listings to see what is available at the time of your search, or contact us to ask about a specific equipment type.
Some equipment is available as individual units and some as multi-unit lots. Check the listing for the item you are interested in, or contact us to confirm what is available.
Yes. We can arrange delivery to you rather than requiring you to organise your own transport or collect in person, which makes buying more straightforward than sourcing through collection-only auction and clearance routes.
If you have surplus warehouse equipment or handling machinery to sell, our sister business Enviro Clear buys stock directly from UK businesses. Visit enviro-clear.co.uk to find out more.
